Last night, VoteRiders hosted our first textbank of 2023. Eighty volunteers came together to send texts to 120,000 Arizona voters about newly implemented voter ID laws in the state. There’s a lot of confusion around what ID a voter can or can’t use that we need to clear up ahead of critical Phoenix city council elections next month.

There’s no such thing as an “off-year” for VoteRiders. We’re doing voter outreach and assistance every single month and we need your help to do it.

Here’s how your monthly gift helps:

• $12 a month allows us to text 600 voters with accurate information on what ID they need to vote.
• $35 a month helps a voter with a ride to the DMV or other ID-issuing office.
• $50 a month covers the cost of securing vital documents for a voter to obtain their ID. 

I’m thrilled that our textbank last night was a huge success. But the truth is, it cost VoteRiders $2,400 to reach so many Arizona voters.
