At a time when extremism runs rampant and many elected officials are actively working to pull back our rights, local government has never been more important. That's why we're proud to endorse four fierce pro-choice champions in mayoral races across the country.

- For far too long the residents of Jacksonville, Florida, have been led by extremist politicians. Donna Deegan is looking to change that. As mayor, she will be committed to championing improved infrastructure, affordable health care, and a thriving economy for all.

- As one of the country's few African American mayors in major U.S. cities, Mayor Lori Lightfoot has fought tirelessly to improve the lives of the people of Chicago, Illinois, and protect reproductive freedom -- and her election is less than a week away!

- Satya Rhodes-Conway has been an effective and compassionate mayor, serving the people of Madison, Wisconsin, with dedication and tenacity. Her commitment to democracy and equal rights for all will ensure that she will accomplish even greater things for Wisconsinites in her next term.

- Leirion Gaylor Baird has been a faithful and fearless mayor for the city of Lincoln, Nebraska, working every day to protect democracy and improve the lives of her constituents. EMILYs List is proud to stand by her campaign for reelection.
