47 years ago today, the Supreme Court ruled on Roe v. Wade — affirming a woman’s right to choose to have an abortion without government overreach.
Nearly two generations later, that liberty remains under threat. In attempt after attempt, Republican lawmakers and anti-choice activists are trying to undo this landmark ruling. Enough is enough:
Make no mistake, recent abortion bans in GOP-led states are part of a coordinated strategy to challenge Roe v. Wade and dismantle a woman’s constitutionally-protected right to choose.
In California, we’re standing up to these attacks by expanding access to reproductive healthcare, going to court to defend critical choice laws, and challenging broad efforts to undermine women’s health.
