That’s why we wanted to step back and take a minute to explain why making a donation in support of Ayanna today is so powerful. Before you log off for the weekend, we hope you’ll continue reading — and then pitch in toward our $50,000 fundraising goal if your budget allows.
Here’s why your donation is so powerful:
1️⃣ Ayanna is focused on bringing about real change for our communities. She led the effort to secure thousands of dollars in student debt cancellation for millions of borrowers and successfully passed post-disaster mental health legislation to support survivors of natural disasters and terrorist attacks.
2️⃣ While many campaigns consider non-election years “downtime,” we organize year-round. Just this month, we hosted a campaign house party to spread Ayanna’s vision for bold, progressive change and held our second Ayanna for Black Men event to build community and center joy.
3️⃣ We don’t take a penny from corporate special interests, and Ayanna doesn’t do a minute of call time. That means we rely on folks like you — in District of Columbia and across the country — to pay for the tools, technology, and staff we need to continue growing our nationwide movement and keep Ayanna in Congress.
We’ll never ask you to give if you’re not in a place to do so. But if you can, we’d deeply appreciate a contribution of any amount to help us reach our $50,000 February fundraising goal.
