Just meeting the deadline, two minutes before the stroke of midnight the Office of Management and Budget released important new Ukraine-related documents ([link removed]) in response to our lawsuit. These records show that even before President Trump’s call with Ukranian President Volodymyr Zelensky, OMB was preparing to withhold military aid. With the Senate trial underway, but the White House stonewalling congressional document requests, American Oversight will keep fighting in the courts for documents to be released to the public. The administration and Majority Leader Mitch McConnell may be working in tandem to prevent the Senate -- and the American people -- from hearing witness testimony or reviewing documents that might reveal evidence of the president’s abuses of power, but American Oversight is still in court, obtaining and publishing government documents to hold our elected leaders accountable to their constitutional duties.
