John -- As a doctor, I know how important it is for patients to have autonomy over their bodies. Your medical decisions should be between you and your doctor, with no government or elected official involved. That's the way it should be -- and 47 years ago, the Supreme Court agreed when they decided Roe v. Wade. Yet, over 200 congressional Republicans are now asking for this landmark ruling to be overturned, putting women and all patients at risk. Access to safe abortion is necessary in order for patients to have autonomy over their body and their decisions -- and we must stand up to fight against this brutal attack on reproductive rights. When a patient is sick, they don't need the government's approval to take medicine. When a patient is injured, they don't need the government's approval to undergo a procedure.
