In Primal Screams, writer and social critic Mary Eberstadt argues that our sense of identity and belonging is found within the family. Since the sexual revolution, however, and the subsequent dissolution of family life, identity politics has usurped the family to become a new source of purpose, leading to the culture that we live in today.

Mary Eberstadt is a Senior Research Fellow at the Faith and Reason Institute in Washington, D.C. Her other books include It’s Dangerous to BelieveHow the West Really Lost God, and Adam and Eve After the Pill
