Florida lawmakers are hoping to allow anyone to carry a concealed weapon anywhere – Do you think anyone should be able to carry a concealed weapon in public?

John,
Yesterday, three related shootings occurred in Pine Hills, FL: A woman was shot and killed Wednesday morning. Two reporters covering the homicide were then shot, one was killed. Later that day, a 9-year-old girl was shot and killed.
This is a devastating reminder of the daily toll of gun violence in communities across the country. In Florida alone, 2,849 people are killed by gun violence each year.
Yet right now, Florida lawmakers, led by NRA darling Gov. Ron DeSantis, are aiming to make Florida the 26th state to allow people to carry concealed loaded guns without permits, background checks, or safety training – meaning the majority of states in our country would exist under permitless carry.
Can you speak out against deadly permitless carry right now? I am one of the majority of Americans who is against reckless permitless carry laws. >> [[link removed]]
John, the bottom line is that more firearms will NOT make us safer. If that were the case, we’d be the safest nation in the world. The reality is that weakening concealed carry requirements increases violent crime and gun theft. We cannot allow Florida nor the nation to accept reckless permitless carry as the law of the land and that’s why I'm asking for your help today.
Permitless carry is dangerous, unpopular, and deadly, full stop. I’m counting on 200 gun safety activists from your area to speak out today: Can you respond to our urgent poll right now and help us make it clear to lawmakers that the majority of Americans are against permitless carry?
