The Association of Health Care Journalists just announced the 2022 recipients of Awards for Excellence in Health Care Journalism and we're proud to share that Charlotte Huff's article in Health Affairsc, "Expanding Services And Tailoring Outreach To Prevent Suicide," was named winner of the trade publications category.

During Black History Month, we're highlighting influential Black voices and organizations who have made an impact on health equity and policy.

Did you know that Meharry Medical College is one of the nation's historically Black medical colleges? Founded in 1876, it was the first medical school for African Americans in the South.

Meharry's new Global Health Equity Institute, led by Daniel E. Dawes, is tasked with the creation of the School of Global Public Health. The school will launch by 2026, be the first of its kind at a historically Black college or university, and serve as a model of health equity research and service.
