Ten years ago, the Supreme Court forever altered the composition of our democracy. In their Citizens United decision, they opened the floodgates for dark money to infect our democracy and corrupt our leaders.

In ruling that corporations were entitled to First Amendment rights, our democracy has been unable to halt the tide of corporate dark money from swaying the decision making process.

Every year, PACs dump hundreds of millions of dollars into our elections — overriding the voices of voters, and violating the principle of “one person, one vote.”
