John, I learned very early on that Joe Biden is someone you want on your team.

When I was serving as Delaware's State Treasurer, he was one of the first people to ask me to run for Congress. I was hesitant at first: Throwing my hat in the ring for a congressional campaign was a big decision. But Joe soon won me over, and in what seemed like the blink of an eye, I was headed to Washington to serve the people of Delaware.

As partners in Washington, Joe and I grew close, working long days to deliver change for Delaware families – and traveling home on Amtrak every night. In the last few years, Joe has had more of a work-from-home situation, but I still consider him both a close ally and one of my dearest friends.

As one of Joe's allies in the Senate, I'm proud to work and learn alongside him. But I will never forget one of the first things he taught me when I came to Washington as a freshman Representative: It doesn't matter what folks in the Capitol think. It matters what American families and people like you think. 

At the end of the day, we're here to serve YOU. That's why I'm reaching out to a select group of my most reliable supporters to check in and ask how you think my friend Joe is doing two years into his term. I still need to hear from 14 Democrats in xxxxxx – including you. So please, John, before this poll closes at midnight, will you respond to tell me if you approve of my friend Joe Biden?

No matter what – whether he's representing Delaware or serving all Americans from the White House – I know that Joe has American families' best interests in mind every step of the way. That's why I was proud to be one of the very first people to endorse his presidential campaign.

But don't just take it from me. Look at all the incredible progress he's accomplished for families during just two years in office. He's worked tirelessly to pass legislation like the Inflation Reduction Act, the infrastructure deal, a comprehensive set of gun violence reforms, the Respect for Marriage Act, and so much more. All the while, he's strengthened our economy, creating new jobs and driving down unemployment to historic lows.

Now, as we head into the second half of his term (with a newly expanded Senate majority!), I want to make sure that his leadership is meeting your expectations. So please, before 11:59 p.m. tonight, will you respond to my live poll to tell me where you stand? I specifically chose you to represent xxxxxx, so I'm really counting on your response.
