YOUR USO AT WORK
Issue 111 / Feb. 2023

The year is now in full swing, and so is our work to support our service members and their families in the months ahead.

It's so critical that the USO has the support of patriotic Americans like you all year round so that we can be ready to support our troops no matter what happens. That's why we've set a goal to sign up 1,000 new USO Home Team members by the end of February to help deliver critical support to our troops — wherever they're called. Please, join the USO Home Team now with a monthly gift.

We have lots of news, stories and events to share with you, so we hope you'll keep reading for the latest updates. As always, thank you for all you do to be a force behind our forces.

The USO celebrates its 82nd birthday
Since February 4, 1941, the USO has proudly been our country's leading nonprofit in supporting active-duty, Reserve and National Guard members and their families. As we celebrate our 82nd birthday, we're honoring our military heroes and their families — and extending our deepest gratitude to all of our volunteers and supporters who make our mission possible.

Football fans at Super Bowl LVII learn how the USO keeps our service members connected through gaming
NFL fans were invited to learn how the USO keeps U.S. military members connected through gaming during the Super Bowl LVII Experience. The USO's Super Bowl LVII Experience activation allowed Americans to experience this firsthand through the USO NFL Mobile Gaming Trailer, which features eight gaming stations. The trailer brings entertainment to service members stationed in remote locations and complements gaming stations at brick-and-mortar USO centers. Fans were also invited to show their support for our heroes in uniform by signing co-branded USO-Salute to Service banners that will be sent to such centers around the world.

VOICE OF THE USO

"Of course, I elected to give to the USO. Military service has a special place in my heart, and the USO provides so much support and resources to service members. Whether they are providing an area they can visit while on orders to relax, providing entertainment, or providing resources to reach loved ones while deployed, the USO is an amazing organization that truly makes a difference in the lives of service members."
