Aloha Friend,
Everyone in Hawaii deserves access to quality, affordable healthcare.
That’s why Governor Josh Green has proposed a five-part plan to strengthen our state’s healthcare system and ensure that all of us can get the care we need.
Governor Green’s healthcare plan will:
- Invest $4.4 million in University of Hawaii healthcare training programs, adding 60 faculty positions in nursing and medical-related fields.
- Establish the Hawaii State Loan Payment Program to repay educational loans for primary care and behavioral health providers.
- Invest $50 million to expand Hilo Medical Center’s Emergency Room, Intensive Care Unit, and Medical Surgical Unit.
- Dedicate $30 million in state and $35 million in federal funding for Medicaid Provider Payments to expand access to quality healthcare.
- Transform Hawaii into a “trauma-informed state” to improve community health and wellness across our islands.
Access to healthcare is a basic human right — and Governor Josh Green is committed to strengthening healthcare in Hawaii and making sure everyone in our state can get quality, affordable care.
As always, thank you for your support and for being an important member of Team Green.
Mahalo for your support,
Team Green
