Team,
This is HUGE news. A brand new poll out of Millsaps College shows two key pieces of information in our race to replace hyper-partisan Senator Cindy Hyde-Smith:
- Hyde-Smith has less than 50% approval in her own state of Mississippi, showing even Mississippians think she’s too extreme for our state.
- After previous polls showed Mike down 14 points and then 12 points in the general election, this survey projects him just 9 points away from victory, proving we’re moving closer to winning this race every day.
Here’s what we have to say about this: Don’t. Count. Mississippi. Out.
With Hyde-Smith’s history of reprehensible comments, it’s no surprise she’s vulnerable in this race.
Despite stereotypes and assumptions, it’s clear a Democrat can win here, Mike Espy can win here. With enough grassroots support from folks across the state, we can beat the odds, go head-to-head with an unpopular Senator, and take this seat back.
If you’re with us and ready to keep this momentum going, pitch in $10 or more now. Every contribution you give moves us closer to electing Mike and moving Mississippi forward.
