Here’s the situation.

Challenge #1: In the months following an election, we see a natural
fundraising slump. We get it, a 24-hour news cycle full of nail-biting
races is exhausting. Driving progress is a marathon, and sometimes we just
need a break.

Challenge #2: February is a shorter month, so even if our daily
fundraising average stays the same — we still come up short.

Goal: Meet our February fundraising goal to cover operating costs of the
campaign and — importantly, continue leading by example with a strong,
people-powered, grassroots campaign and will never accept a dime from
those corporate PACs.

Taeka from our Finance Team reached out earlier this week. Since she
shared that we weren’t on track to hit our monthly budget goal by February
28 — people sprang into action and we’re in sight of our February goal.
