Last year, I was one of just five Democrats to win a House race in a district carried by Donald Trump in 2020. National Republicans spent millions to flip this seat red, and election experts predicted it would flip the week before the election.

Thanks to your support, we were able to win one of the closest congressional elections in the country. But this cycle is shaping up to be just as tough. Cook Political Report and Sabato's Crystal Ball are already calling this race a "toss-up," and it's only a matter of time before opponents begin jumping into this race.

In a district as competitive as Pennsylvania's 8th, early investments are crucial to the success of a campaign. Starting the cycle off strongly allows my team and me to hire staff, plan our budget, place ads, and ensure we don't fall behind for even a moment.

The work we put in now could make the difference between protecting this seat and retaking the majority in 2024 or allowing Republicans to grow their narrow House majority.

But, I just spoke with my team and they let me know we're not on track to reach our fundraising goal for the month.
