How can textile manufacturers, brands and retailers work together to solve challenges facing the fashion industry?

Microfibres are everywhere: in our food, water, and even the air we breathe. As a subset of microplastics, an estimated 35 percent of all plastics that end up in our oceans come from textile microfibres, of which the fashion and apparel industry is a major contributor.

How can we turn things around?

Forum for the Future’s latest report, Tackling Microfibres at Source, presents findings from a 21-month research and investigative process and collaborative inquiry on microfibre pollution.

Coming in March: The first in a three-part Spotlight Series

Business leadership and innovation has become critical in determining whether or not we’ll be successful in creating a future in which both people and the planet can thrive.

Are businesses stepping up or stepping back? How is their purpose in our society and economy changing?

In March, Forum’s ‘Business Spotlight’ will explore all this and more. Watch this space for what will be the first in a three-part series dedicated to exploring transitions in business, food and energy.
What role can supply chains play in responsible food production?

Forum’s latest report on food calls for fairness, net zero cost-sharing and the recalibration of value-sharing throughout the UK’s food supply chain.

Produced in partnership with the Oxford Farming Conference, Savills and WWF, the Supply Chain Synergies report is the result of a series of 30 interviews from key players across food production. It focuses on the barriers to supply chain transformation, identifies pathways to change and outlines how both voluntary action, as well as policy, can make a difference.
