PROTECT PUBLIC LANDS + FREE GIFT
Dear, Supporter:
They’re still at it. I’m talking about the House Republicans who are - still - doing their best to drown you and me out.
Essentially, they want to cut the public out of environmental decisions. And if they succeed, then we lose our environment’s greatest xxxxxx against corporate interests: US.
We must push back against their opening salvo on our environment before these ideas gain momentum.
That’s why it’s so critical that we get your support today:

Dismantling the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) is one of the House Republicans’ TOP priorities. Days after taking power, they introduced the “Permitting for Mining Needs Act”, a bill that takes direct aim at NEPA.
If they succeed in building support for this idea that we should limit the public’s input into major environmental decisions, then all bets are off.
What could that look like? Get ready for industrial mining and pollution on public lands as we’ve never witnessed before. What’s left of the unscarred Arctic tundra will turn into a wasteland of roads, pipelines, drill rigs, and chemical spills. The Deepwater Horizon disaster off our coasts will be just the first of similar environmental tragedies.
The Sierra Club is uniquely positioned to fight against these anti-environmental agendas in the House. That’s because we have active members and volunteers in every single district across the country.
With your support, we can rally millions of voices to object fiercely against the House Republican majority and its attacks on NEPA.
