Dear John,
In just one year since Russian forces invaded Ukraine, more than 68,000 war crimes have been reported across the country, including hundreds of crimes against journalists and media outlets. Millions of Ukrainians may have been deported into Russia—including hundreds of thousands of children.
We know this because of the heroic work of Ukrainian civil society, which has documented these atrocities and war crimes, and provided support to those whose lives have been forever changed by the war.
Learn more about the essential role these civil society organizations fulfill in Ukraine and how they will play a key part in rebuilding the country after the war.
