JOIN THE GREAT BRITISH SPRING CLEAN!We're delighted to announce the Great British Spring Clean 2023 will take place from 17 March to 2 April. Last year many of you were among a mass army of amazing #LitterHeroes who pledged to pick nearly half a million bags of litter. We are hoping to count on your support once again as we battle to clean up our streets and public spaces. From today, you can pledge to pick up a bag of litter - or more - on our website. #PRIDEINPLACEThis year we will be focusing on the pride our army of volunteers - our #LitterHeroes - have for their local community. New research for Keep Britain Tidy reveals that more than 8.5 million adults in the UK have done litter-picking at least once in the past six months. That’s a million more people than watched the end of the hit BBC series, Happy Valley! The Great British Spring Clean is an inclusive national campaign with all members of our communities welcome to get involved - watch our video above to see how different groups take part each year. PROTECTING OUR WILDLIFEAt Keep Britain Tidy, we believe that every act to protect the environment, no matter how small, makes a difference. But why do we need to pick up litter, and what difference can it make to the environment on our doorstep? The RSPCA receives thousands of calls a year about animals that are caught up in or injured by litter. By removing materials that don’t belong from their natural habitats, we protect wildlife and marine life. Read more about why we need to pick up litter on our website. SHOP NOW FOR EQUIPMENTDon't forget you can buy high quality litter-picking equipment from Keep Britain Tidy's online store. All our high-quality equipment is made by our partner, Helping Hand Environmental, in Britain and packaged in recyclable materials, so you can rest easy knowing you’ve made the best decision for the environment. This year’s campaign is made possible thanks to media partner Clear Channel, as well as supporting partners KFC, McDonald’s, Nestlé, Mars Wrigley, Coca-Cola, Walkers and Pepsi MAX. We also thank players of People’s Postcode Lottery for raising funds to support this campaign. |
