Democrats,

Less than a week since Republicans claimed there was no plan to cut Social Security and Medicare, even agreeing with Biden’s commitment to protect Social Security and Medicare at his State of the Union Address, the GOP began cowering away from doing what’s best for Americans.

Nearly every single American has been paying into Social Security– investing in their retirements and their futures since getting their first jobs. Beyond that, Americans everywhere depend on Medicare to help cover the skyrocketing costs of health care. It is outrageous that the GOP wants to gut these programs and make life even more difficult for most people who depend on these programs to retire and access healthcare.  

As long as Joe Biden is President, we know that Social Security and Medicare are safe– at least until next year. After the GOP’s devastating losses in the 2022 Midterm Elections, they are desperate for a win in the upcoming elections and they're doing everything they can to make sure they don’t suffer another embarrassing loss. We’ll have no one to blame but ourselves if we don’t supply Democrats with the resources needed to win elections and protect the critical programs we all rely on.
