Dear John,

Yesterday, Teaching Tolerance launched our Future Voters Project with the goal of ensuring that all eligible students have the opportunity to register to vote before they graduate from high school.

We hope you’ll check out our best practices for leading inclusive, effective school-based voter registration drives. And if you sign up to join the Future Voters Project, we’ll keep you posted as we continue to add new election resources, recommendations and classroom activities over the coming months.

We’ll also send you a free copy of our Selma: The Bridge to the Ballot film kit. The film tells the story of a courageous group of students and teachers who, along with other activists, fought a nonviolent battle to win voting rights for African Americans in the South.

We’re excited to share this new project with you, and we look forward to working with you to ensure that all students have the opportunity to participate in our diverse democracy.

Thanks for all you do for students.
