Chris rejects the notion that we are powerless against gun violence or in the fight to pass common sense gun safety legislation. That's why Chris supports reinstating a federal assault weapons ban – to decrease gun violence and American lives lost to it.

Reinstating a federal assault weapons ban would keep dangerous, military-style weapons off our streets. Last year this bill passed in the House with bipartisan support, but was not passed in the Senate.

It's time for Congress to act.
