Just over 24 hours ago, significant aftershocks occurred in the Hatay province of Northwest Syria, causing further damage and harm to those living in the region — on the heels of the deadly earthquakes that struck the region weeks ago. Mercy Corps team members in the region are safe and accounted for, and continue to serve this community in crisis.

This is a moment of extreme need for millions of families in Syria and around the globe, and people just like you are showing up with extraordinary generosity. Now it’s your turn — will you join this global wave of support and make a gift to Mercy Corps today?
Give now ▸
As a vital member of our supporter community, we want to keep you updated about our work in Syria, where donor support is helping fuel both emergency and long-term relief efforts.
In Syria, nearly 11 million people have been affected by the earthquake and 4 million of them in Northwest Syria rely on aid agencies for basic humanitarian needs like clean water and food. Mercy Corps’ staff and partners currently reach about 300,000 people in the region.
Mercy Corps’ initial response is focused on getting urgently needed items to people whose homes have been destroyed. We are distributing sheets, solar lamps, jerrycans, blankets, mats, mattresses, and hygiene kits.
Clean water is critical for families’ survival in Northwest Syria. Mercy Corps teams are working to repair earthquake damage to boreholes that supply clean water, while continuing to provide drinking water via trucks to camps for displaced people.
You can help power our life-changing work in Syria and 40+ countries with a generous gift to Mercy Corps. Please send your support today!

Your gift fuels our work, and tells the world what it means to be a humanitarian. Especially in moments like these, we can’t tell you enough how much we appreciate you.

Sincerely,

The Mercy Corps team
