We need to clear the air. Did you know that 92 percent of Nevadans are
breathing air that gets a failing grade from the American Lung
Association? Pollution from substances like soot, a byproduct of burning
fossil fuels, can be deadly. But African American communities are
disproportionately impacted. 

Why is that? And what can we do about it? 

This week, we continue our celebration of Black History Month with a
conversation about how African American communities are responding – and
what it will take to achieve true environmental justice. BBP Voter
Education Organizer Brian Harris guest hosts this episode of Out in Front
in conversation with community leaders including:
