John,
A spy balloon operated by the Chinese government floated
unimpeded across the continental United States last week before
finally being shot down over the Atlantic. This was just one of
many worries about national security and espionage by the Chinese
Communist Party and its operatives in the United States.
Of particular concern is the Chinese Communist Party (CCP)
infiltration of Texas' agricultural land.

Here's the good news: A Texas bill to ban foreign nationals and
entities tied to China, Iran, North Korea, and Russia from buying
land in Texas is working its way through the state legislature as
we speak.
Senate Bill 147, filed by Republican State Senator Lois
Kolkhorst, would prohibit the purchase or acquisition of property
by a "governmental entity" or a company headquartered in or
"directly or indirectly controlled" by the government of China,
Iran, North Korea, or Russia. The measure, which Governor Greg
Abbott has signaled he would sign into law if it reaches his
desk, also would prohibit citizens of those foreign nations from
owning land in Texas.
This is a serious national security vulnerability that we can't
ignore! Will you stand with us in support of SB 147, prohibiting
hostile foreign nations from buying our Texas farmland?

It's hard to believe anyone could be against such a common sense
law... enter Harris County.
Harris County Commissioners are meeting this week and, among
their many agenda items, they will entertain and vote on a
proposed resolution condemning SB 147. Can you believe it? Yet
another chapter in Harris County's downward spiral.
We are calling on all freedom-loving Texas patriots to stand with
us and urge the Harris County commissioners to reject this absurd
resolution and support SB 147. Are you with us?
Stand up for Texas,
Texas Republicans
