During the TREC Meeting on February 13, Commissioners adopted changes to the inspection report rule and proposed several other rule changes, including those related to the unauthorized practice of law, broker responsibility, education requirements, and license renewal. Get all the details and learn how to provide public comment on the proposed changes.
February 1 was the effective date for 14 revised TREC forms, including the One to Four Family Residential Contract (Resale) (TREC 20-17), Amendment (TREC 39-9), Farm and Ranch Contract (TREC 25-15), and the Loan Assumption Addendum (TREC 41-3). Find the correct forms and review redline versions to see what changed.
Texas inspectors are required to follow SOPs and provide the TREC promulgated form, and not doing so could result in disciplinary action from TREC for the inspector and an incomplete, unusable inspection of a property for consumers.
