Additional Secretary of State offices closing due to winter storm, remaining offices statewide closing at 5 p.m.

*LANSING, Mich.*???Due to ongoing severe winter weather, Secretary of State branch offices in 11 additional counties are closing at 2 p.m. today and all remaining offices statewide will close at 5 p.m.?

The following counties and locations will close today at 2 p.m.:

*Clinton County?*(St. Johns),?*Genesee County?*(Clio, Davison, Flint-Fenton Rd., Flint-S. Saginaw),?*Ionia County?*(Ionia),?*Kent County?*(Grand Rapids-28th St., Grand Rapids-Plainfield, Sparta, Wyoming), *Mecosta County?*(Big Rapids),?*Montcalm County?*(Greenville),?*Muskegon County?*(Muskegon),?*Newaygo County?*(Fremont),?*Oceana County?*(Hart),?*Ottawa County?*(Grand Haven, Holland, Hudsonville),?*Shiawassee County?*(Owosso).

Earlier today, it was announced that the following offices are closed:?

Additional closures are possible. Residents should visit Michigan.gov/SOS [ [link removed] ] for the latest information on branch closures.?

Those with pre-scheduled appointments at the closed offices will be sent an email with instructions on how to reschedule their visit. Licenses and plates that expire on a day when branch offices are closed can be renewed the following day without penalty.

For those in immediate need of Secretary of State services, tabs, most license plates, and most licenses and IDs can be renewed and replaced online at Michigan.gov/SOS [ [link removed] ]?or at any Secretary of State self-service station [ [link removed] ]. Driver?s license permits and registrations for vehicles, motorcycles, snowmobiles, or boats may be printed from the website, allowing motorists to drive legally until they get their renewed driver?s license or plate and tab in the mail. Additionally, residents may order a duplicate registration or title, change their address, and register to be an organ donor on the website.
