Hi Comrade, it's Max again. Last week, I emailed you about plans at County Council to carve out a massive exemption to a new air conditioning requirement, that would leave many renters suffering through heat in the summertime.

Thanks to action from our branch members and other tenant advocates, Council has backed down from their plans to undercut the air conditioning requirement. Read more about how outside pressure created this partial win at WTOP.

What happens now? Members of Council pulled the bill for further debate and consideration -- so if you haven't yet, you should still take action and contact them to let them know where you stand. We've done all the work for you -- just click here, copy and paste the text into a new email, and paste the addresses into the "To" line.
