I’ll be honest…
I never planned to start New Politics. After I completed my own service in AmeriCorps and City Year, I thought a lot about how I could continue to make an impact. But when it came to breaking into the political space – I was lost. How do you cross that bridge from one type of service to another with no connections? How do you break into a new arena with so many barriers to entry?
There wasn’t any existing organization that offered the support I knew was essential to getting the right people into political power. So I made one myself.
That’s how New Politics was born. And now, after nearly ten years in operation, we’re just getting started. Last year alone, New Politics helped elect 40 servant leaders to office and provided support to over 500 service-oriented candidates up and down the ballot.
The moral of the story is: if you see a problem no one else has solved, you may just be the best person to solve it. Don’t let uncertainty hold you back from creating something you believe in. And that includes running for office, or supporting someone who is.
We have so much more in store for this upcoming election cycle. But we need your help – donate to New Politics and help us on our mission to elect servant leaders at all levels of government. [[link removed]]

--
New Politics supports outstanding military veterans and national service leaders, alumni of programs like AmeriCorps and the Peace Corps, to step up and serve our country again, this time through politics. We were proud to be behind the movement of veterans who ran for office for the first time in 2018, and we have big plans to grow into the future.
