Joining Battleground Texas in 2014, my story begins just like many other Texans. Growing up in a non-voting household, I never could have imagined I would grow up to be an activist and organizer.

As a formerly disengaged youth, I know how it feels growing up in a state and not feeling represented. But I've become living proof that organizing works, organizing empowers, and organizing can change lives.

Now as the Executive Director of #TeamBGTX, I'm excited to announce that we're celebrating ten years of our organizing effort to build real representation in Texas. Celebrate with us today by pitching in towards our grassroots fight for progress!

We've got a busy year of organizing ahead, but a tenth anniversary only comes once.
