Friend, Celebrate Aromantic Spectrum Awareness Week with The Trevor Project!
So what is Aromanticism? Aromanticism, or Aro, is a romantic orientation where an individual does not experience romantic attraction. Aro people may still experience other types of relationships and attraction — platonic, aesthetic, or sensual — and are just as capable of love, intimacy, and forming deep and meaningful connections with others.
What is the difference between aromantic and asexual?
The aromantic spectrum can include folks of various sexual orientations, which may include the asexual community ([link removed]) . Since asexuality refers to sexual relationships and attraction, and aromantic refers to romantic relationships and attraction, not all asexual people identify as aromantic, and vice versa.

Let's build a world together that empowers LGBTQ young people to feel and be confident, affirmed, and loved as their most authentic selves. Learning more about the Aro community and identifying ways that you can support the Aro young people in your life helps create an affirming support system that can significantly reduce mental health challenges they may face.
