URGENT ACTION NEEDED: STOP taxpayer funding for factory farms that POLLUTE communities and ABUSE helpless animals! Act now! 

Factory farm corporations are raking in MASSIVE PROFITS while they often cram pigs together with barely enough room to breathe and wedge hens into cages so small they can’t even spread their wings.  

Industrial-scale farming produces 3x MORE FECAL WASTE THAN PEOPLE. And this animal waste often seeps into local waterways, killing fish and other living things. As a result of lax regulations, manure, and other toxic waste can CONTAMINATE OUR AIR, WATER, AND FOOD. The USDA has granted millions of dollars to greedy multinational corporations like Tyson, Cargill, Smithfield and JBS that often locate polluting factory farms and slaughterhouses in low-income Black and Brown communities. And because of the unsanitary and crowded conditions for animals, factory farms become DANGEROUS BREEDING GROUNDS FOR BACTERIA AND DISEASE in these communities! 

We need our public dollars invested in more humane, sustainable food production. Every day we wait to act is another day that your tax dollars are funding this toxic industry that inflicts massive harm on the planet and local communities.
