The impeachment trial in the Senate has begun, and it is already an embarrassment.
Mitch McConnell is running a sham impeachment trial, attempting to cover up for Trump’s abuses under cover of night. There’s little time left - tell your Senators to oppose this loudly and publicly and push for a fair trial.
Call your Senators and tell them:
The impeachment trial that started yesterday in the Senate is already a sham and an embarrassment. I urge the Senator to speak out loudly and firmly against the Senate rules resolution and any further attempts at a cover-up, and to do everything in her power to have a fair trial in the Senate.

Indivisible SF Spotlight
We met with the staff of Senator Feinstein! On Thursday we met with Jim Lazarus (State Director) and Abby Ellis (Field Representative) at Senator Dianne Feinstein’s San Francisco office. We discussed avoiding war in Iran, our concerns about the NDAA, and the importance of a fair impeachment trial in the Senate. Jim shared with us that the Senator will fight to have a real trial with witnesses, and she believes there is a chance of one happening.
We asked if the Senator had visited any ICE or CBP detention facilities. She has not, but her staff regularly visits the California facilities. We also asked if the Senator has taken a position on Senator Wyden’s election security bill. They did not have an answer but will get back to us.
We had a busy weekend! Joining many other local activist groups, we had a contingent at the 2020 Women’s March on Saturday. Though it was cold, we were warmed by the spirit of activism that runs strong among us.
Then, on Monday, our members (and some former members who have moved on to other local activism!) joined Wealth and Disparities in the Black Community - Justice 4 Mario Woods to demand that our city officials get serious about living up to the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Black San Franciscans deserve real justice—in employment, housing, healthcare, and the courtroom. It's time we honored Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. with action and policy change, and that's what we want our elected officials to do. We were also excited to be joined by San Francisco's new progressive DA, Chesa Boudin, for this event!
We closed out Monday by marching as a contingent at the Martin Luther King Day march from Caltrain, over Lefty O’Doul’s Bridge, to Yerba Buena Gardens (site of a monument to Dr. King and his work).
