Hello Colorado Republicans -
Several of our largest cities are having local elections this April: Denver, Colorado Springs, and Grand Junction. While local races are "nonpartisan," if you live in these cities, be sure to find out who your Republican candidates are and help them get out the vote! More cities and school boards will have vital races this November.
While 26 people attempted to run for mayor in Denver, only one Republican is on the ballot: Andy Rougeot. 9News hosted a debate last week with the mayoral candidates, but they conveniently found a way to block Andy from participating.
In Denver, candidates can now take money from a campaign fund paid for by taxpayers. Naturally, Andy chose not to take the taxpayers' hard-earned money to run his campaign, but many Democrats did. 9News said that because Andy wouldn't take this money, he couldn't participate in their debate. What a convenient way to censor the one Republican running for Denver mayor!
I'm writing to make sure you know about Andy. Watch his videos and read his plans. He's taking a courageous, solution-oriented stand on homelessness and crime -- two issues that continue to plague Denver. Andy will:
- Enforce the camping ban to get homeless into drug addiction and mental health services.
- Make our city safer by adding 400 more police officers to the Denver Police Department.
- Improve policing with more training and better funding for law enforcement.
Most importantly, tell everyone you know who lives in Denver about Andy Rougeot!
Thanks for your help in our local races!
