Day of Empathy 2023 is here! Join Empathy Network leader Tonie Willis, Founder and Executive Director of Ardellas House, in collaboration with Dream.Org for a legislative advocacy day supporting Dignity for Incarcerated Women legislation. 

 Why it matters: 

• Dignity for incarcerated women legislation ensures that people in vulnerable positions are treated with respect and have their rights to safety, hygiene, and healthcare protected. It also prohibits shackling during labor.
• Women, the fastest-growing prison population, face unique challenges, including feminine hygiene, pregnancy, and birth. This legislation addresses these issues for more humane and equitable treatment of women.
