Interest in some recent reporting confirms our suspicions: the eyes (and stomachs) of Texas are never far from barbecue or H-E-B. But more serious events have been the focus of interest in Texas, too. In case you missed it, the head of the Texas Oil and Gas Association made remarks to reporters that appeared to indicate a major turnaround in how the fossil fuel industry in Texas views its role in climate change. Garnering even more interest, perhaps, is the ongoing drama in the U.S. Senate over the impeachment of a president. Of particular interest to us is the role a certain prominent Texan may come to play in this process, for the second time in his career, no less.
