Two new devastating reports have uncovered once again the fossil fuel industry’s lies and deceptions to hide their decades-long scientific knowledge about climate change and the effects their products have on our planet. One was commissioned by the American Petroleum Institute in 1968; the other, by Exxon, in the 1970's. Many decades later, both proved to be astonishingly accurate in predicting how fossil fuels are destroying our atmosphere.
Yet, as Associate Director of Communications Javier Sierra writes, the industry seems to have learned nothing from this corrupt past and continues its destructive practices. |
