Help us protect earned benefits now [link removed] GIVE NOW to protect Social
Security and Medicare! [link removed] DearJohn,
It's been more than two years since the Trump-GOP tax law was rammed through Congress. Since then, the rich have gotten richer (many huge companies paid zero dollars in federal income taxes in 2018!), the tax law is projected to explode budget deficits by $2 trillion over 10 years, and the growth rate of tax revenue has slowed. Despite these facts, the Trump Administration continues to falsely claim victory for America's workers and middle class when it comes to the tax law. But the truth is, the Trump-GOP tax law is now putting pressure on lawmakers to do something about historic budget deficits. And Social Security and Medicare are always the first targets for deficit hawks. Please support the National Committee as we stand strong for protecting and strengthening Social Security and Medicare — and expose the truth about the costly Trump-GOP tax cuts for the wealthy — by making a most generous donation of $12, $9 or $5 today! We must remain on alert for any effort to use earned benefits to pay down deficits or pay for more outrageous tax schemes for the rich! Many older Americans already struggle to afford their basic needs, especially the high cost of prescription drug costs. And so, any cuts to Social Security or Medicare would be disastrous to their well-being and retirement security. Yet, that's the plan President Trump continues to put forth for millions of older Americans: Make do with less, because health industry executives and Wall Street brokers deserve more.

John, our strength lies in the participation of our more than one million members and supporters — and frankly, each and every dollar counts. Please make one urgent donation today to help us strengthen our powerful advocacy efforts on Capitol Hill to ensure our government keeps its commitment to the Social Security and Medicare programs — and to our nation's workers and retirees!
        Sincerely, Max Richtman
