Working Families Party organizes these free electoral campaign manager trainings for folks who identify as a woman as well as other gender minorities, including transgender nonconforming, and non-binary people. The goal of the Women Run Campaigns project is to empower more women and gender minorities to not just run for office, but run campaigns themselves. This particular training in Charleston is just for those who identify as people of color.
We know that women of color are a crucial component of the electorate, the key to victory, and the backbone of our communities.
The Women Run Campaigns training is made for and by women to give them the knowledge, skills, and confidence they need to become campaign managers and senior campaign staffers.
We cover the fundamentals of running a competent campaign, including:
building your personal network
securing endorsements
managing staff and volunteers
campaign messaging and working with a candidate to develop their personal story
fundraising
communications and digital organizing, and
charting a path to victory!
Whether you’re a super-volunteer, a field organizer, a resistance activist, or a first-time campaign manager — all are welcome. All that matters is that you want to learn how to run a campaign.

P.S. If you don't identify as a woman, transgender, or nonbinary person of color, you can still help! Share this training with friends who should be there or chip in $3 to support the Women Run Campaigns program.
