Dear John,
A few days ago you should have received an email from Dan Adcock, the National Committee’s Director of Government Relations & Public Policy, asking for your feedback on our Annual Survey.
So far we have not received your response.
That’s why I’m reaching out to you personally today to ask if you will please take a few minutes to answer the important questions on our survey.
Right now, the National Committee is actively working on behalf of you and millions of other older Americans who depend on Social Security and Medicare to defend your earned benefits from dangerous deficit-driven proposals now gaining momentum in Congress …
It seems like everything is on the table from raising the Social Security retirement age and increasing the Medicare eligibility age to cutting the annual Cost-of-Living Adjustment (COLA) and means testing Social Security benefits. There is even renewed talk about putting the future of Social Security and Medicare in the hands of special committees which would give lawmakers political cover for cutting benefits.
With so many unprecedented threats to your benefits emerging in Washington, DC, we need to hear from valued National Committee supporters like you as we work to represent your interests on Capitol Hill and hold the line on benefit cuts. So please take our Annual Survey now, which will help the National Committee fully understand and go to battle for your priorities — and that of our one million+ members and supporters — in the year ahead.
Sincerely,
|
