Lay’s, Quaker Oats, Special K… These familiar logos lining the shelves during every trip to the grocery store.

Fourteen global food manufacturers—multibillion-dollar companies that supply food to grocery stores, cafeterias, restaurants, and more—are refusing to update the public on their promises to eliminate the worst forms of animal confinement in their supply chains.

When companies don’t follow through on their commitments to end cages, they leave hens to suffer through physical and psychological anguish, with no relief in sight.

These companies promised to spare chickens from this cruelty. But, now, they won’t tell us if they followed through, and animals’ lives are hanging in the balance.

We called. We made direct asks. Almost every single one of these companies have refused to engage in dialogue with any of our animal welfare experts. The clock is ticking, and we can’t accept their silence. We need your help to get answers.

I’ve seen the impact we can make together. When you speak out and let these companies know that their silence is not an option, they come clean about the animal cruelty in their supply chains—and put a stop to it.

So, let’s send these companies a message: we care about chickens, and we won’t let you get away with abusing them.
