John, it is utter horror every time our nation endures another act of gun violence.

Hearing about the victims — people who were just trying to go to school, work, go grocery shopping, attend church or just live their lives, taken from us too soon.

Learning about them through their families, neighbors and friends and seeing how gun violence yet again has ripped a family and community apart.

Worrying if next time it will be you, your child or someone you know.

Utter horror.

We do not have to live this way. We should not live this way.

I’m doing everything I can possibly do in Congress to enact life-saving changes to protect our loved ones from the gun violence epidemic.

Last year, we passed the Bipartisan Safer Communities Act to strengthen background checks and invest in mental health services, but it’s clear that it isn’t enough. We must do more to address this crisis because everyone deserves to feel safe in their communities.

That being said, there is a lot that needs to be done in order to accomplish that, which is why I want to hear directly from who I trust most: John, what should Congress do to address America’s gun violence epidemic? [[link removed]]
