During orientation, freshman members of Congress were only given three words to say who they were, so Becca naturally introduced herself as a “scrappy little dyke.” Here’s why:

  • “Scrappy” because she’s a Vermonter
  • “Little” because she’s small but mighty
  • “Dyke” because she’s reclaiming the word that has been used to keep down her community
