96 [link removed] Friend,
On January 22, 1973, the U.S. Supreme Court legalized abortion across
America.
Its tragic decisions in Roe v. Wade and Doe v. Bolton marked a
turning point in our nation’s history and led to devastating results.
Since those decisions were handed down, more than 60 million innocent
unborn children have lost their lives.
Throughout my political career,
I’ve worked to defend the defenseless and give a voice to those who do
not have a voice of their own. And I refuse to let up.
Do you support
the right to life, Friend?
If you do,

[link removed] YES! I stand for
life >> You may have heard that the U.S. Supreme Court will hear a
challenge this year to Louisiana's reasonable health and safety
regulation of the abortion industry. Our “Unsafe Abortion Protection
Act” has been blocked since we passed it back in 2014, and simply
requires doctors who perform abortions to have admitting privileges at a
hospital within 30 miles of the facility.

This law is about
protecting women in vulnerable situations from an abortion industry that
profits off of substandard practices and dangerous clinic conditions.
In the original challenge to this law in the federal district court in
2015, I was one of the attorneys called upon to defend the state. Now,
four years later, I helped lead more than 200 of my congressional
colleagues in filing an amicus brief to defend the law at the supreme
court level.

Despite the oppositions we face with a Democratic
majority in the U.S. House, my Republican colleagues and I have not let
up in the fight for life. I’m proud to be a co-sponsor of various pieces
of legislation to defund Planned Parenthood, to make it a crime to
transport a minor across state lines to obtain an abortion, and to
prevent research involving fetal tissue that is obtained through
abortion.

January 22 is a day when we mourn the lives lost to
abortion, and renew our commitment to defend the sanctity of life.
We’ve achieved big things to reduce the number of abortions in our
country in recent years - but we cannot let up until EVERY innocent
unborn child is protected.
