This is about the air we breathe, and the pollutant that puts us all at risk.
John,
When there’s a space where environmental protections are lacking, you can count on SEEC Members to step up big.
Take soot pollution, for example. It comes from a multitude of sources, including fires, smokestacks, construction sites, power plants, and cars. Soot pollution has been linked to increased heart attacks, as well as aggravated asthma and decreased lung function. It’s everywhere in the air we breathe and has a major impact on people’s long-term health. That’s why a daily exposure limit exists — capping at 35 micrograms.
Back in October, the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) found evidence that tightening these standards was warranted. But now, they’re shying away from the opportunity to take action and decided to keep the current daily limit in place.
Thanks for standing with us in our fight for clean air.
— SEEC PAC
Thanks to your help in 2022, SEEC PAC was able to re-elect over 95% of our pro-environment members to the U.S. House of Representatives — defying the odds on a night where Democrats lost seats. Now we are counting on you to help our SEEC members pass climate, clean energy and environmental justice policies in the 118th Congress while we continue fighting for a sustainable future. But if you'd like to receive fewer emails, we understand. You can click here to only get our most important messages, or you can unsubscribe.
The Sustainable Energy and Environment Coalition Political Action Committee (SEEC PAC) is an organization that supports members in the U.S. House of Representatives and candidates who fight for clean energy, climate change solutions, environmental justice, and protection of our nation’s clean air, water, wildlife, and public lands.
