John,

I’m honored to share with you the incredible story of Kathy Folan. As a junior in college, Kathy became pregnant through rape. Despite the trauma and overwhelm she initially felt, she knew the value of her preborn son's life and placed him with a loving adoptive family.

Today, Kathy has no regrets about embracing the life of her son, Nathan. They have a beautiful relationship for which they are deeply grateful.

Watch Kathy tell her powerful story here:

As Kathy said, "The biggest misconception about abortion from rape is that it will heal the woman from that rape... But what would really happen is that you would live not only being raped, which is traumatic, but with the trauma that you destroyed a human being."

Kathy’s story is just one example of countless young women who embraced the lives of their babies after the horrific experience of rape - and then experienced the unexpected joys that follow.

You can feel the peace and joy radiating from Kathy as she tells her story. Even though her circumstance was temporarily devastating, she did not let her traumatic experience lead to more devastation (the loss of her child.)

You’ve probably heard abortion advocates tout access to abortion as a “need” for women, especially in circumstances of rape. Or, they will say women “need” abortion since they would supposedly be held back by children. But in contrast with Kathy’s peaceful disposition, aggressiveness and bitterness are common themes among women who “shout their abortions.”

Kathy’s story cuts through the euphemisms of the abortion industry, and her joy speaks for itself. I encourage you to share this video!
