Sherrod Brown - Senator from Ohio [[link removed]]
Last year’s Senate race in Ohio was the most expensive yet, shattering spending records. (It was as expensive as the previous three Ohio Senate races combined!)
Guess what -- our race next year is expected to be even more expensive .
February is a short month, which means we have less time to raise the money needed to reach our next fundraising goal. Any amount you can contribute helps us prepare for the expensive race ahead of us. [[link removed]]
The biggest contributing factor to the record-breaking spending in Ohio last year was special-interest groups.
Of the nearly $200 million spent in Ohio’s Senate race, over half of it came from outside groups. A Mitch McConnell-aligned super PAC spent $32 million alone.
Is it really any surprise though?
Back in 2012, Sherrod was called the “hunted Democrat” because special-interest groups spent $40 million in an attempt to buy Ohio’s Senate seat. That was over a decade ago and a lot by 2012 standards.
We know 2024 is going to be even more expensive, but with the support of people like you, we can make sure we enter 2024 in the strongest position possible.
We can do this again, but we’re counting on you to get involved. That’s how we’ve won in the past. Please chip in any amount you can. [[link removed]]
