This Friday, February 24, Campaign Legal Center is hosting a conversation that will examine federal and state court decisions in redistricting cases and how they shaped the 2022 election cycle. We will also compare states with fair maps against states where voters cast ballots under maps that were gerrymandered or discriminated against voters of color. Lastly, we'll go over solutions that are most likely to produce fair maps, like independent redistricting commissions.
Our virtual event features redistricting and democracy experts Mark Gaber of CLC, Ruth Greenwood of Harvard Law School’s Election Law Clinic and Mark Niesse of the Atlanta-Journal Constitution. Slate's Mark Joseph Stern will moderate.
By registering for these events, you will be subscribed to CLC's mailing list.
The nonpartisan Campaign Legal Center is dedicated to advancing democracy through law at the federal, state and local levels, fighting for every American’s rights to responsive government and a fair opportunity to participate in and affect the democratic process.
