There’s a ticking clock, counting down the hours until the Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell sweeps the president’s crimes under the rug. Or, at least, until he tries.
Make no mistake, once the opening arguments have been heard, McConnell will do his best to block any witnesses or documents which could give the American people answers about the president’s abuse of power and obstruction of Congress. That’s his priority, protecting the president and his own political power. But not everyone is on board.
